“What If” took fifth place in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013

Russia’s Dina Garipova with the song “What If” took fifth place in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 that concluded in Malmo on 18 May, scoring 174 points. “What If” was composed by two Swedish producers Gabriel Alares and Joakim Björnberg (Ace of Base, Alcazar), who are represented in Russia by the company Broma 16, in cooperation with the Russian rock-pop musician Leonid Gutkin.

Internationally acclaimed Swedish producers have written the Russian Eurovision Entry.

This year, the Russian broadcaster Channel One has made their choice for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest internally and selected a young talented singer Dina Garipova. On stage in Malmö, Dina will perform the song “What If” that was composed by two Swedish producers Gabriel Alares and Joakim Björnberg (Ace of Base, Alcazar), who are represented in Russia by the company Broma 16, in cooperation with the Russian rock-pop musician Leonid Gutkin.

Russia will participate in the second half of the First Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest on Tuesday May 14th.
